The unwavering pursuit of excellence has been proudly passed down through the generations of the Sammut Family. Over 40 years ago, Paul Sammut, a prolific builder who created over 200 homes across NSW, was the founding pillar and the driving force behind the Sammut enterprise’ vision; creating properties, precincts and destinations which surpassed the norms and expectations of an emerging industry at the time.
From generously oversized apartments to sprawling balconies to luxurious landscaping which elevated neighbourhood standards Sammut Group has always defied expectations, and continues to apply this legacy across the luxury landscape of today.
Since 1993, Allen and John Sammut established Sammut Developments as a full-service property development business. With three generations of the Sammut family, including the arrival of Julian Sammut in 2019 the directors have evolved the company in 2021 to become Sammut Group.
With the primary focus on strengthening their luxury property development arm and focusing on diversifying the company into other lifestyle businesses, the group has created new standards of experiential luxury through major residential, commercial and hospitality centered projects.

CEO / MANAGING DIRECTOR
Allen Sammut
In 2021, the company diversified its portfolio and evolved into Sammut Group, a powerhouse in the Australian development scene, recognised with over 40 major industry awards. Allen’s leadership is pivotal; he meticulously oversees all aspects of the business, from site acquisitions to the intricate design development of each project along with a hands-on approach throughout the construction and delivery process. His unwavering commitment ensures that every client experiences the unparalleled luxury and quality that Sammut Group is celebrated for.

John Sammut
John manages and oversees all financial affairs and is heavily involved with the legalities surrounding each new venture.

Julian Sammut
Julian is an aspiring leader in the development industry, adopting a multi-faceted approach to drive the success of Sammut Group. Having completed a Bachelor in Construction Management & Property and with over 5 years’ experience within the property industry working for a leading real estate agency and an award winning construction company prior to joining Sammut Group, Julian has end-to-end experience in the development lifecycle.
As Chief Operating Officer, Julian is heavily involved in managing the functions and operations of all company ventures including new business opportunities, site acquisition, managing the design and development of each project and ensuring all deliverables are achieved.
PROJECT DIRECTOR
Matt Crews
Matt Crews is a property professional with over 30 years of experience working within the development industry, not only in Australia, but also Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Sammut Group, Matt has worked with Aoyuan International, Capital Bluestone, Walker Corporation and Parkview.
Matt was responsible for the delivery of the Woolooware Bay development, comprising a sub-regional shopping centre, over 900 apartments, a hotel and a new building for the Cronulla Sharks Football club. Other projects Matt has been involved in include Woolooware Bay Masterplan – Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4, Rhodes Waterside, Balmain Cove, Clemton Park Village, Eastlakes Shopping Centre re-development and Sur Mer Hotel & Apartments in Cronulla.
Matt has a wealth of experience in all aspects of development, project management and project delivery. He has a keen focus in creating a positive change to existing locations with the creation of well-designed, environmentally conscious and friendly, healthy new projects. At Sammut Group, Matt works across various projects in the company’s portfolio, ensuring successful execution as they evolve through the development process.
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Luke Hickel
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management (Hons) and a Major in Planning and Development, Luke boasts over nine years of experience working in the construction and property industry. During his tenure at institutional REIT’s, Luke has a strong multifaceted approach in the efficacious inception and delivery of mixed-use developments in Sydney and Melbourne.
As Development Manager, Luke and his passion for luxury mixed-use developments plays a vital role in the success of Sammut Group’s projects, ensuring that our partners visions and expectations come to life. Luke is also responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer in new business opportunities and site acquisitions.
SITE MANAGER
Mark Weir
Mark Weir attains over 40 years’ experience within the construction industry, with almost half of his career at Sammut Group. Mark can be found on-site, managing the quality control process throughout the construction phase of each development, with a strong focus on the delivery and handover of all projects.
Mark maintains thorough contact with all clients who have purchased our product to ensure the quality and finish is upheld and maintained to the highest standards.
GROUP FINANCE MANAGER
Danielle Killalea
As Group Finance Manager for Sammut Group, Danielle will be responsible for managing the overall financial affairs for the group, adopting a highly collaborative approach with the team to provide financial insights and deliver great results.
