A new beacon for ultimate coastal luxury will soon rise from an absolute-beachfront pocket of Garfield Terrace, when Sydney-based Sammut Group delivers its $200 million COAST to the Surfers Paradise shoreline.
The sophisticated collection of 49 residences will rise across 35 levels, and include 36 half-floor villas, 2 double-storey sky homes, 10 full-floor sub penthouses and an opulent penthouse spanning two levels, offering circa 1000 square metres of luxury living and featuring a private rooftop pool and amenities.
COAST presents itself as a 6-star residential address, comprising ultra-luxurious amenities such as a 32m pool that wraps from the east to north, wellness facilities including a yoga studio, massage rooms and sauna, function facilities, residential beach bar and breakout areas and a commercial-sized gym.
In addition to its indulgent amenity range, COAST will be home to its very own concierge service.
Residents will receive exclusive access to premium services to elevate their beachfront lifestyle, including home cleaning, restaurant bookings, airport transfers, dry cleaning, car washing, entertainment bookings, food/beverage delivery.
“When we set out to create COAST, we wanted to deliver something of lasting significance for our residents,” said Sammut Group CEO Allen Sammut.
“Our location on the doorstep of one of Australia’s most famous beachfronts is a privilege we don’t take lightly, so we endeavoured to encompass every feature and amenity you could desire to enhance this lifestyle.
“COAST is essentially a home, a lifestyle, an experience – all in the one place.”
The tower’s design-led approach has evidently resonated with buyers, who have collectively cemented COAST as one of the best-selling projects on the Gold Coast in recent years.
Sammut Group achieved a Gold Coast sales record for sub-penthouses with the sale of two whole floor luxury apartments to interstate buyers for $8.775 million and $8.95 million respectively.
COAST has become the defining benchmark of the Gold Coast’s luxury revolution, with the average price of its sales sitting at approximately $5.25 million – setting yet another record for a Gold Coast apartment development.
The tower will form a defining piece on the northern Gold Coast skyline, adopting an undulating form in reflection of the ocean at its foot, configured to capture an abundance of natural light, cooling sea breezes and endless ocean views.
“We have the fundamental belief that everything we create should enhance the location in which it exists, so we invested a considerable amount of thought and time into producing a building that was just as exquisite from the outside as it was from the inside,” said Sammut COO Julian Sammut.
“PBD Architects have done a sensational job to capture this vision and create a remarkable piece of architecture that our residents will be proud to call home.”
COAST also marks PBD Architects’ first entrance to the sunshine state following its slate of striking projects across NSW.
Careful consideration was taken in the planning to ensure the residences would cater towards a high-end market and provide a unique experience and amenity for its locality.
The residences have been designed to open to expansive spaces tailored for functional living and maximum views.
The function room, gym, cabanas, pool, massage, yoga and wellness facilities have been positioned to open towards Northcliffe Beach, providing a wide variety of spaces for different activities and experiences to cater for the needs and lifestyles of residents.”
COAST’s distinctive curvature will soon rise from its Garfield Terrace site with Multiplex appointed to construct Sammut Group’s landmark beachfront vision.
The foray onto Gold Coast shores is a first for the developer after a stellar 40-year career shaping southern Sydney, centred around Cronulla in the Sutherland Shire.
“We were initially attracted by the positive fundamentals of the Gold Coast marketplace, but quickly saw an opportunity to create something exceptional in what is arguably Australia’s beachside mecca,” said Julian Sammut.
“COAST will sit at the core of the best the Gold Coast has to offer, from Broadbeach’s dining and entertainment precinct to Pacific Fair, Star Casino, and the endless stretches of beachfront.”
While it may be the developer’s debut on Gold Coast soil, Sammut Group is certainly no stranger to delivering prestigious developments set in idyllic destinations.
Paul Sammut, a prolific builder who created more than 200 homes across NSW, was the founding pillar and the driving force behind the vision for the broader Sammut family enterprise; creating properties, precincts and destinations which surpassed the norms and expectations of an emerging industry at the time.
From generously oversized apartments with expansive balconies and luxurious landscaping that elevates neighbourhood standards, Sammut Group has always defied expectations and continues to apply this approach to the luxury landscape of today.
Building on their father’s legacy, brothers Allen and John Sammut established Sammut Developments in 1993, creating a full-service property development business. In 2018, the third generation joined the business, with Julian Sammut now in the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Together the directors have evolved the company to become Sammut Group, diversifying their project portfolio and creating new standards of experiential luxury and legacy across major residential, commercial and hospitality-centred ventures.
The company has become synonymous with high-end design, and there could be no clearer depiction of its competency than Nautilus, Burraneer Bay.
Spanning six levels of inconceivable luxury perched on the shores of Sydney’s Burraneer Bay, Nautilus is a design feat surpassed by few.
It is the only Australian home to boast three internal lifts, and with two stand-alone guest pavilions, a magnificent wet bar, dual championship AMF bowling alleys, a premium gymnasium with complimentary yoga and pilates studio, an in-home cinema, archery range, 25m lap pool, teppanyaki BBQ, jacuzzi, day spa with a Turkish steam room and a 2000-bottle speak-easy cellar.
The mega-mansion was awarded winner of the 2016 HIA-CSR Australian Home of the Year, 2016 HIA-CSR People’s Choice Award and 2016 HIA-CSR Australian Custom Home Award awards. It also earned the business the coveted Master Builder of the Year Australia award.
