SAMMUT Developments has taken out the Australian Apartment Project of the Year for its luxury Drift apartments.
The Caringbah-based development company was honoured for the Gerrale Street, Cronulla, apartments at the 2012 HIA-CSR Australian Housing awards on Friday night.
The judging panel, made up of industry professionals, were impressed with the Drift apartments’ modern and luxurious finish, environmentally sustainable features, including recycled flooring, and automatic security system.
Sammut Developments director Allen Sammut said it was nice to be recognised among his peers.
“I knew we delivered a fantastic project for Cronulla, but when you’re up against the rest of Australia it’s hard to know what you’re up against,” Mr Sammut said.
“In today’s environment, there are many hardships that developers and builders face.
“This plaque and title reassures the public of our quality and standard.”
The Drift development, which was completed in early 2010, consisted of 11 three-bedroom apartments, each with a triple-car garage and media room.
